Solid Gold.

Pretty pieces of my world
Fall at your feet
Quivering for the last and
Final time

As I climb out of my sheath
A crescent of me shines
Flickering for the last and
Final time

Delinquent then
My criminal intent
Leaving behind me a river I let run
Withering I am
In remembrance
Of the strength of a broken crown

If silence is golden
Will you be my Midas?
Hold on to my pieces
And solidify my past?
Would you make me a garden
Put golden flowers where I lay
So my metal moulded slumber,
Saves me from my disarray?

Resilient then
Emotionally obsolete
Leaving behind me a river I let flow
Drowning I am
In sounds of the end
I pray you take my broken crown

If silence is golden
Will you be my Midas?
Will you seize the chaos around me
And solidify my past?
Would you make me a garden
Turn the flowers gold from grey
So I can sleep tonight, forever,
Free from my disarray?

Broken pieces lay around
The earth below me breaks
To open up a bed
Upon which I take my place
Reach your hand
Towards mine
And I smile as I see
The end.

My silence is now golden.
