The Tangent.

"The tangent line (or simply the tangent) to a curve at a given point is the straight line that just touches the curve at that point. As it passes through the point where the tangent line and the curve meet, or the point of tangency, the tangent line is going in the same direction as the curve, and in this sense it is the best straight-line approximation to the curve at that point."

Somewhere along the line
That is tangent to you
I see a little space for me

Should I go in?
I wonder what I’ll see
If I walk into you

Just ahead there’s a spot
A place for my entry
Upon this line

On tip-toes, I see
How you welcome me
To notice you

And my math tells me
Everything will be fine
Just as long as I walk
As long as I stay
On your tangent line.

  4. I'm actually not a very good judge of poetry due to relatively less exposure. But something tells me that you should think of a different line instead of 'My math tells me'. Looking forward to posts on books, movies and music on this blog. :)

  5. This blog is for my literature. There wont be posts on any non-fiction here.
All my non-fiction will be on Rules of the Universe. That's why I have two blogs :P

Thanks for your input though. I'll keep it in mind.
Also, that line is there for a reason :)

  6. I like the poem a lot and your attempt at bringing together photography and poetry. I've tried similar on my blog if you'd like to read and critique. My blog is: www.reconstructing-reality.com. :)
